14 and 15 woofers are odd ducks in the Altec woofer world. The 14 woofer has a bit more motor than the 15, but neither have the 3 inch VC of the 414 motor. Yet the bigger challenge is the mounting diameter and bolt circle, odd dimensions as the stock woofers have a 1 inch wide mounting rim and gasket. Overall diameter of my model 15 woofers is 13-1/2 inches.

Actually, according to Bill at GPA (who can re-cone these) the stock 34633 woofer for the Model 14 does have a 3 inch voice coil (he and Todd both speak very highly of this woofer) whereas the stock 33785 woofer for the Model 15 (which uses the same woofer as the Model 8 and 9) does not. The 34633 is a significant upgrade over it's predecessor, the 33785.....

Yes, the 34633 Model 14 woofer does have a 13 1/2 frame......
